Shout Bar: Comedy in Thao Dien

Most of our shows are in District 3. Shout Bar is where we go when a night deserves a change of scenery. It is in Thảo Điền, on the other side of the river from the centre, and it is where we are hosting our touring headliner night with Will Pepper. This page covers how to find it and what to expect.

Why Shout Bar

Thảo Điền is home to a lot of English speakers, and plenty of people who live there rarely cross the river for a night out. Putting a show at Shout Bar brings stand-up to them, and it gives a touring comedian a venue that suits an English-language audience. It is also a bar, which for a comedy night is the correct kind of building.

We use it for special nights rather than as a weekly home, so check the show page for whichever night you are interested in. If it says Shout Bar, this is the page you want.

What is on at Shout Bar

The big one is our Will Pepper night on 10 October 2026: a touring headliner, two sessions in one evening and a lineup that includes Stephen Vũ and Seth Kelly. You choose the early show or the late show when you book, and each has its own start time on the show page. Doors open before the early session. If you have never been to one of our nights, a headliner show is a good place to start.

Any other Shout Bar nights will appear in the list at the bottom of this page automatically, so it stays correct as we add shows.

How to get to Shout Bar

The address is 69 Nguyễn Cư, An Khánh, Thảo Điền. The easy way is Grab, by car or bike: search for the venue by name, check the pin against the address above and go. Thảo Điền is across the river from District 1 and District 3, so allow more time than the distance suggests, especially in the evening rush. If you can, leave early, order a drink and enjoy not being in a hurry.

What to expect on the night

A stand-up show in English, with a host, a lineup and, for headliner nights, a main act. The material is adult. There is no formal age limit, but you should know what you are signing up for. Ticket details are always on the show page, including whether a night is pay what you want or ticketed. For ticketed nights, book ahead, because the price on the night can be higher than the advance price.

Like all our shows, this one is built around a simple idea: a room, a microphone and people who came to laugh. Everything else is detail.
